Aug. 24th

Review commands, greetings,names, questions, and French in Ft. Smith.

Students may now go online to practice their French at home: they received their

usernames and passwords.

Students will study alphabet, accents, numbers,memorize a poem, objects in the

classroom, How are you?, and Goodbyes.

Aug. 31st

Review conversation, commands, alphabet, classroom objects, poems, nombres, Ca va???

Recite poems on 1-20.  Play Bingo.  New: age, days, months, birthday, commands, French

words in Ft. Smith, and LaFayette. 

Sept. 8th

Recite #2 poem.  Turn in handouts on jours/mois, objets de la classe, et Lafayette.  More nombres

and learning subjects in sentences.  Quiz on vendredi, written.

Sept. 14th

Completion of Chapt. 1.  Recite poem on days of week.  Intro to time.

Sept. 21st

Review of avoir, masc./fem., subjects and verbs.  Intro to what you like, do not like.  ER verbs.

Nombres 70-100.  Poster project.

Sept. 28

This week we are finishing up our discussion of ER verbs and masc./fem.  There will be a quiz

on vendredi.  Speaking, reading, writing, listening activities each day.  See Chapt. 2.

Oct. 5 

The Germans have arrived and are visiting our classes.  We ask questions in French and English.

Most of them speak French and have studied it for 4-6 years.  We are in Chapt. 3.

Oct. 12th

Columbus Day in Canada?  Project on family this week in class.  Bread recipes go home Monday.

Bread is due Friday in class.  Last week for makeup work.

Oct. 19th

French Canadian explorers and what do they have to do with AR?  Project due on the Famille, Coat of Arms.

Describing your family members with the skunk poem.
